The Ministry of Defence’s Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) Scheme promotes lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces.
Providing financial support in each of a maximum of three separate financial years, the scheme enables higher level learning of a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3 or above (or approved international equivalent) with an approved learning provider.
As an Elcas (ELC administration service) provider, we accept enhanced learning credits across a wide variety of our courses to serving and former military personnel – and we’ve just added more.
The courses include:
- Lantra Level 3 award in aerial cutting of trees with a chainsaw using freefall techniques
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in use of a chainsaw from a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP)
- Level 3 Certificate of Competence in aerial tree rigging
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in thorough examination of arboriculture equipment
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in aerial tree pruning
- Lantra Level 3 award in aerial tree pruning
- Level 3 Certificate of Competence for felling and processing medium trees over 380mm up to 760mm
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in dealing with interwoven stems & part blown trees
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in assisted felling
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in utility arboriculture basic electrical knowledge
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in utility arboriculture tree species recognition, growth characteristics and associated hazards
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in utility arboriculture ground-based pruning
